October 11…Atlanta’s superstar Quavo today releases his incredibly-anticipated debut solo album QUAVO HUNCHO via Quality Control Music / Motown Records / Capitol. Listen HERE. This marks the Grammy-nominated rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, video director, fashion icon and one-third of the hardest working trio in music, Migos, debut solo album.
Tonight Quavo hosts HUNCHO REALITY, an album listening experience to be live streamed exclusively by WAV at 11pm PST. To tune-in, download WAV at wav.media. The over-whelming demand for QUAVO HUNCHO will also be answered as DJ Khaled plays the album at 6 p.m. Pacific / 9 p.m. Eastern, on We the Best Radio, Beats 1’s Apple Music series. Quavo has also just shared a new futuristic video for “B U B B L E G U M” directed by himself and Daps ahead of the release. Watch the video which trended at #3 on YouTube HERE. The video also comes on the heels of his show-stopping performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week here performing the previously released tracks from the album “L A M B T A L K” and “W O R K I N M E”.
Quavo has an astonishing output of work, including HUNCHO JACK, a collaborative album with Travis Scott, twenty-nine singles, thirty-three additional songs including charted ones and guest appearances. Outside of Migos, Quavo has been featured on four singles which have peaked within the top 10 of the Billboard 100.
With Migos, whom Rolling Stone calls “arguably the most influential group – in any genre – of the past few years,” Quavo made history by tying The Beatles for the most simultaneous entries on the Billboard Hot 100 song chart among groups (with 14 songs on the chart) according to Nielsen Music. CULTURE II has been streamed over 8.1 BILLION streams and is RIAA Certified Platinum.
This week Migos won the American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Group and this year also earned the Best Group at the 2018 BET Awards as well as being honored with the ASCAP Vanguard Award at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. In addition to these wins, the group graced the cover of Rolling Stone, COMPLEX and performed on Saturday Night Live earlier this year. Migos are currently on tour with Drake on the Aubrey and The Three Migos Tour. In a cover story, Rolling Stone said, “Migos aren’t big. They’re gigantic. Twenty-six-year-old Offset, his 26-year-old cousin Quavo and Quavo’s 23-year-old nephew Takeoff have transcended hip-hop to become shapers of the culture.” 2018 is unequivocally the year of Migos.
