In response to the horrific terrorist attacks on Paris on November 13, 2015, Eagles of Death Metal have put together a sincere act of musical solidarity: Play It Forward EODM Campaign. The band asked artists from all over the world to cover “I Love You All The Time” from its current album ‘Zipper Down.’
Capitol Records’ My Morning Jacket and Mini Mansions are among the artists in the first full list to participate in the campaign along with Florence + The Machine, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon and many more.
Artists covering the song as well as Amazon, Apple, Spotify and TuneCore Distribution are donating their proceeds to Friends of Fondation de France. For more information, click here.
Homme commented on the Play It Forward EODM Campaign and this first showing of camaraderie: “I made a plea to artists and business people alike to come together to use our solidarity as proof that we are stronger together, and that we can make a difference. We are proud to be a little part of such a big group of talent and good will. We can’t thank these artists enough for their donations of talent, love, time, and compassion. Now, the Play It Forward Campaign is in the hands of the fans to help us make a difference, and to help those affected by this tragedy. Please listen, purchase, play, and enjoy – and know that every time you do, you’re doing the sweet stuff that makes a difference.”
