LEWIS CAPALDI RELEASES NEW EP ‘BREACH’
EP INCLUDES BRAND NEW TRACK “SOMEONE YOU LOVED” AVAILABLE NOW
Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi releases a new EP — Breach — today.
Breach contains two new songs, piano ballad “Someone You Loved,” and the gospel-inflected “Something Borrowed,” plus his two recently released tracks, the ode to lost love “Tough,”which has racked up more than seven million Spotify streams, and his current single, “Grace,”which Capaldi says is “a song about being with someone who makes any negative shit going on in your life feel irrelevant.” “Grace” has racked up more than four million Spotify streams. With its emotionally resonant, beautifully observed songs about love and relationships, Breach is yet another showcase for Capaldi’s vocal and songwriting talent. In 2017, the 21-year-old released his debut EP Bloom , which has over 200 million combined streams worldwide. Bloom features “Bruises,” a track that showcases Capaldi’s nimble vocal ability, as he effortlessly slips between smooth baritone, gravelly mid-tone, and haunting falsetto with pinpoint accuracy. “Bruises” shot to No. 1 on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and has over 200 million combined streams globally.
Capaldi was hailed as a 2018 Vevo Dscvr Artist To Watch, longlisted for the BBC Sound Of 2018 Poll, and won Breakthrough Artist of the Year honors at the Scottish Music Awards. He has toured with Rag’n’Bone Man, Niall Horan, and Sam Smith, and performed at such festivals as Lollapalooza, Bonnaro, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Splendour in the Grass, Fuji, and Osheaga. He has sold out headline shows in both the U.S and U.K. and is now out on a UK and European tour.
