Capitol Records congratulates both Brian Wilson and Sam Smith on their Golden Globe nominations today for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) “One Kind Of Love” and “Writing’s On The Wall” respectively.
Brian Wilson has received his first Golden Globe Award® nomination today, for his original song, “One Kind of Love” from Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions/River Road’s acclaimed Brian Wilson biopic starring John Cusack and Paul Dano, Love & Mercy. “One Kind of Love” is available on the Music From LOVE & MERCY soundtrack and on Wilson’s latest album, No Pier Pressure, both released this year by Capitol Records.
Brian Wilson issued the following statement this morning:
“My life, my love, my Melinda — God only knows what I’d be without her. She was the inspiration for ‘One Kind of Love’ and just woke me to tell me the song has been nominated for a Golden Globe — my mind is blown! Sam Smith has received his first Golden Globe Award® nomination today, for his original song, “Writing’s On The Wall” from Sony’s Spectre. “Writing’s On The Wall” is available here & was released by Capitol Records.
